That's all I can say...

We did it! Our Delight chapter is official. Tonight was incredible in the fact that so many girls showed up despite the cold and the rain. There were a couple of rough spots such as getting locked out of the room and having to set up in roughly 20 minutes but that doesn't compare to the amazing feeling we leaders had once the meeting started. We were nervous. All of our hard work over the last semester lead to this exact moment, and we wanted it to be perfect. I personally had the opportunity to hear one girls story and got chills over the thought that she felt like she could open up to me. Once the meeting ended, girls didn't race to leave the room. They stayed and talked to each other. We wanted Delight to feel like a family, a safe space where girls could be vulnerable and pour into each other. We got a glimpse at the future of Delight tonight and we are beyond excited for what is to come. Thank you God for leading us and bringing these girls to us!!!
